Wilsdaryon
Prescher
Meet Wilsdaryon Prescher, LMSW, LCDCi
Therapist. Author. Advocate. Survivor.
Born in Temple, Texas, Wil’s story is one of resilience, transformation, and hope. At just seven years old, he entered the foster care system after experiencing trauma and abuse. Over the next several years, he moved from home to home until, at age twelve, he found stability and love with a foster family in Walnut Springs, Texas—who would later become his adoptive family. That pivotal chapter of his life inspired a deep passion in Wil to help others who, like him, have faced unimaginable hardship.
Wil has spent the past several years immersed in the studies of mental health and substance use, earning a minor in Substance Misuse Counseling from Tarrant County College, and continuing on to pursue both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work. He holds credentials as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern (LCDCi).
Throughout his career, Wil has dedicated himself to serving at-risk youth and individuals struggling with trauma, addiction, and emotional challenges. His lived experiences allow him to walk alongside his clients with empathy, understanding, and authenticity. Whether working with a child coping with ADHD, a teen battling depression, or an adult seeking healing from past trauma, Wil meets each person where they are—offering both clinical expertise and a compassionate ear.
Wil is also the author of This Is Me Trying: Navigating Through a Lifetime of Trauma, where he vulnerably shares his journey through the foster care system, confronting trauma, stigma, and identity. His story is a beacon of hope for those navigating their path to healing.
Wil believes deeply in the healing power of human connection and the therapeutic value of music, which continues to play a meaningful role in his life and his work. He is currently continuing his education, determined to fulfill his dream of becoming a fully licensed therapist and advocate for those who feel unseen and unheard.
Wil’s message to every client:
“Something beautiful can grow from even the darkest roots. You are not alone, and healing is possible.”
